1. Responsible party
The responsible party is the National Founding Consultation Secretariat - Interim Custodian. This creates administrative and POPIA accountability only, not ownership or permanent political authority. The Acting Information Officer must be formally appointed and registered before broad public promotion.
2. Public custodianship
This consultation has no private founder or owner. Its proposals and aggregated findings are held in trust for participants until a democratic founding convention adopts a constitution.
3. Information collected
We may collect a name, contact details, province, political views, priorities, constitutional comments, supporter or coordinator preferences, adult confirmation and communication preferences. Political views are treated as special personal information.
4. Purpose and consent
Information is processed with explicit consent to administer the consultation, prepare anonymised reports, respond to rights requests and contact people who separately request supporter, coordinator or communication contact.
5. Access and disclosure
Individual responses are restricted to authorised administrators and necessary hosting or security operators. Only aggregated or anonymised information is public unless separate attribution permission is given.
6. Retention
Raw responses are retained until the founding convention and for no longer than 24 months afterwards unless legally required. Withdrawn, duplicate or unnecessary records should be deleted or anonymised.
7. Security
Safeguards include HTTPS, restricted access, strong credentials, backups and breach procedures. Operators must protect confidentiality and cross-border processing must comply with POPIA.
8. Rights
You may request access, correction, withdrawal, deletion where permitted, objection or unsubscribe. Identity verification may be required.
9. Adults only
The online consultation is limited to participants aged 18 or older.
10. No funds
No donations, membership fees or payments are collected.
